Food tastes so much better, natural..without any crap in it..just get a food processor, blender , and juicer..and you set to explore the beauty of food

I have been a vegie for two years. In that time I managed to convert 2 meat eaters forever and got another 10 people to try it. All you have to do is inform people who are intrested, they'll listen.

i became a vegetarian a few months ago and i have to say that i am the healthy vegetarian the kind who eats lots of plants and grow my own wheatgrass. Also i pay close attetion to what i eat and i cut out processed foods. My whole life is better now. I sleep better at night, i smell better my skin also would break out from time to time and i havent had a breakout since. People need to pay attetion to what they are eating it wasnt until i changed my diet until i realized the importance of food.

Hi to answer ur question Joseph (my name aswell)
I'm a scientist specializing in health, and I can say that the term "vegetarian" is not a solid definition to base scientific claims on. It foreshadows a diet but does not define the dietary components which can differ drastically between different people. I've seen vegetarians eat mostly sugars/carbs, and others eat mostly greens & green juice.. so those are 2 completely different diets, both can be called vegetarian.

I recommend everyone learn the recommended nutritional daily values, and also learn the breakdown of foods so to understand what their body is getting from their diet.

Minerals are the most important factor which are hardest to get from plants these days due improper agricultural practices. Soil is depleted and natural minerals from rock dust are replaced with synthetic minerals of a limited variety.

In the case of treating cancer, cancer pains, yeast overgrowth and all other types of infection, headaches, degenerative disease, etc
I use bulk electrolytes which the body has when healthy but chemistry is upset when these minerals are depleted by most diet.. the factors are complex in how we are so deficient as a society.. minerals tap water displacing other minerals from the body and upsetting other things.. but to give the answer away KHCO3 has been awsome .. potassium bicarbonate is a combo of 2 major electrolytes which maintain an alkaline pH of the body's fluids so yeast doesn't grow, and also it conducts electricity through bodily fluid, and maintains cell pressures (osmotic pressure).

Other main electrolytes are Calcium & phosphorus which are each recommended in a dosage of 1 gram per day, so study your diet and see if your getting that.. Most are not, and also intake does not mean absorption. Calcium requires vitamin D to be absorbed, and yes that's made by the oils in the skin, with exposure to the sun, but soap will remove these oils and sun won't give you what you think your getting from it.

Also being a vegetarian can mean cutting the crap out of your diet, like hydrogenated oils and getting lots of flax oil.. an awsome salad recipe is lettuce, yellow nutritional yeast, flax oil and seasalt.. add hemp seeds, greens, whatever else but thats my fav to start with ;D

I've got the inclination to become a vegetarian, but heard something in a science podcast where they said research showed that being vegetarian can shrink your brain. I'm going to major in a science after my Telecom degree and don't need that to happen. I'm two heads and no brains as it is. Has anyone heard this and I'm hoping that you can refute this research or show exceptions and how to be an exception? I'm going to google it when I get the chance and I'll post anything I find here. Thanks! BTW, feel free to add me.
