Not a great time to be a corporation.

Intel is having to pay upwards of a billion dollars to the european union to satisfy their case decision in which Intel was found to be pressuring companies into using their products.

President Obama is drooling over a piece of that pie and has said that Washington is going to also crack down on these laws here in the USA.
It's time to start selling SUPERMAN CAPES made from ASBESTOS to these people, just to highlight that direct profit for Washington isn't a motivating factor to the general public.

My 401k is still burning money. It's very sad. Maybe my 401k is invested in Intel and this is their way of having me work harder.
Maybe 4 dollars, the amount of lunch at Costco, being paid by everyone in America at once all being drained out of an American company isn't big news these days. I found out by reading about it in the New Zealand Herald.

Beats the heck out of running an air conditioning system when it's time to pay the power bill.

A success for the hazardous waste event

This past weekend we held one of seven hazardous waste collection events a year.

We had an amazing turnout. Cars were lined up for at least a mile waiting to drop off different waste that they couldn't dispose of safely by usual means.

People were even carpooling their hazardous waste and going door to door collecting things for the event.
It might have even been too successful. We had more than a few cars get fed up with the long lines and drive off.

I'm looking forward to the next one on Ju… Continue

Milk

I don't have some radical new ideas here, just a grudge at the sour milk I threw out this morning that is now taking up half the trash container.

I have an entire box of powdered milk, and that's plenty. Because I hardly ever drink powdered milk.
Which has prompted a quest. I'm on the adventure of a lifetime to find the best way to tame the powdered milk, and make it better than fantastic.

The Addition of natural sugar

I like non fat stuff. For milk I'll usually buy 2 percent. Which th… Continue

Colony Collapse Disorder in Honey Bees

In reference to honey bee's. From this reference ... http://maarec.cas.psu.edu/

The classification these days for feral honey bees is "non existant", and in 2006
a new term was coined to create awareness for a disorder in hives where no dead bees are found, but the queen is there and the unborn bees remain. Food is there but there just aren't the bees.
