Disposable Batteries.... Is it time?...

There was a time...
...when some of us grew up knowing one thing about portable electronics. The good stuff took D-Cell batteries so that they wouldn't die immediately. Of course you need eight D batteries to power that box (portable stereo for those of you too young to remember the term box, or boom-box). That cool keyboard you wanted to learn piano on? It could be plugged in, OR you could run it off of D batteries.

Every day, I drive by a plethora of fences. Yard fences, ranch fences, chainlink fences.

Almost all of them are made of wood, or wood and wire. While wood keeps getting called a green material on various sites and in construction, I can't help but wonder why. How long does it take to regrow the trees? How long does it take for someone else to order wood for their construction? I just don't see the demand being less than the supply!

I went out to get the mail, and instantly my day brightened when I saw that my Solio arrived from Buygreen!
