To me this really means being HAPPY with others that don't feel the same. Hopefully they will come to a similar conclusion on there own. Maybe they are just not there yet. In other words an eco strategy that probably works is not alienating others away from doing what's best for the ecosystem.

I love using reusable bags! They're cute, trendy, and hold a hell of a lot more stuff than the plastic ones. I am annoyed at having to "save" all the plastic ones I used to get. The best ones I've found are from Kroger and Albertson's. Kroger has nice big black ones for $1 that don't have an annoying logo on them. Albertson's now has bags in 4 different colors. So pretty. Pink, Blue, Black, Yellow, and Brown with a great tree pattern. I love them, and they're a good size like Kroger's. Target is…

Hey all! ZapRoot and ViroPop rock!
How do I get a free Chico Bag?
I'm always forgetting my bag in the car or at home.
With a Chico Bag attached to my keys, maybe I'll even put my purchases away as soon as I get home ... instead of days later when I'm looking for whatever I bought! lol

I don't know...maybe they think bigger wheels mean better gas milage. ha ha ha.

I never knew how many uses there are for hemp until today.
It turns out you can make instruments out of it.
Hemp can be processed into wood and plastic like materials, however its srtonger and has the benefits of both. It's biodegradable, impervious to moisture, naturally UV resistant and unaffected by changes in humidity. You don't even have to carve it because it can be molded or sprayed!
If you are in the market for a new instrument, support the crossover to hemp production.
Here are some co…

Ay caramba! I got my Chico bag and I love it! Minneapolis is a town full of people with quite a high EQ (Environmental Quotient)... did I just make that up? :-)
But it wasn't until I got my bag and I realized that there are many many people around me that already had it or used it. And it's not at coops anymore. I've seen people with a chico bag at all kinds of stores or just hanging from their backpacks in the bus, on the street, etc.
I must say that even though they are very practical and conv…

I got one of your typical chain e-mails from my mom the other day talking about the creation of baby carrots, and how baby carrots are dipped in a Chlorine solution in order to avoid e.coli poisoning etc. etc. She sent me an e-mail asking me if this applied to organic produce as well, and what do you know it does!
I can't believe we're wasting more than hundreds of dollar…

I camped in Port Townsend Wa last weekend for the
kinetic races. These are people powered sculptures that travel on land, sea, sand, and mud.

Staying at the fairgrounds, we parked our vw van in a small site and hooked up the
Solio to the window. Since it didn't come…

I think the viropop chico bag is great. I make reusable cloth bags, but they are your typical big bag and are best when a shopping trip is planned and you can take them with you to carry lots of groceries. The chico fits easily into a backpack or purse and you have it for those last minute or unexpected trips. I have two now one from before and the viropop bag and people just love them. They can't get over how easy they are to stuff and carry with. Thanks for making the world a lot greener. Chic…

I don't think I've ever been happier to open a package.
My bag came today. It's great.
I got stopped at the store though.
They thought I was stealing.
The greeter asked me what I had in my purse.
Hahaha!

I just got a call from T-Boone himself. He told me if I wanted to be part of eliminating our oil dependancy, I should press 1 and I could join his energy ARMY.
Hey Im all for wind power and solar power. But why do we want to give him all the rights to West Texas. What will he do with all that water?
Make more money, and he will probably charge more for the freee enegey he gets from the wind farm.
We need to start our own Armys in our own communities. Recycle, carpool, plan your trip for the d…

I love these things. I make a new one every few weeks out of things lying around the studio. A lot of the time it's cardboard and plexi glass. Today I made this one out of glass and gaffers tape. To help get more heat into the oven I used foam beadboard, you might not find that easily. It's the big shiny thing clamped to a stick. This one is a simple example, but in the real ones the principal is the same. It's basically a greenhouse for your food. Sunlight comes in and heats the air inside. In…

ELEMENTARY STUDENTS ARE THE ANSWER TO CHANGE THE WORLD. IF WE WOULD JUST EDUCATE THEM ABOUT A GREENER EARTH, THEY WOULD EDUCATE THEIR PARENTS. IF YOU TEACH HANDS ON THEY WOULD VIEW IT AS AN ENJOYMENT AND NOT AS LEARNING.
