Hometown:

Relationship Status:
Married
About Me:
I don't define myself by what I know, as I hope that constantly changes day to day. I try to remain open minded and eager to learn; reminding myself that life is about experiences and not to let my ego grab the reins.

I'm many things, to say "I am" one thing or another makes no sense to me. I have many hobbies and passions, ask and I'll share. My beliefs are firm, they come from "learning" not from being "taught", while I am open to hearing you, please do not feel the need to try and change me or my mind; as I will give you the same respect.

I enjoy humorous, happy, energetic, smart, friendly people to talk to and always welcome a friend into conversation.
Favorite Music:
Anything but what is on the radio, on Sirius radio there are still some good stations out there, just harder to find. Right now I am in to The Weepies, awesome happy deep music with real meaning good harmony and very well written.
Favorite TV Shows:
I am digging on the Smithsonian channel, history, nova, science- anything you an learn from.

I have to admit I love The Office.

Oxfam says biofuels pushing 30 million into poverty.

This is actually very sad. We need change but, is making "our world "better while causing "the world" others know, to crumble really a better life choice.....no. Here is the link to this full story: http://www.reuters.com/article/environmentNews/idUSL2432915720080625 It is worth a read. In a time where we hear so many cry about gas prices yet at the same time witness them buying a $5 cup of coffee, one can ask if we are losing sight of what really needs to change; before we are all blinded by w… Continue

The HYmini -Personal Wind Charger or as I call it, "The coolest thing I have seen in a long time".

I have been given the gift of gab, or the curse heh. While surfing the net I came across ViroPOP and instantly felt I had found common virtual ground, being able to voice my ideas and feelings here is a great feeling. When I first started to write a blog I was a little leery, not sure how it would go over among regulars, as I have found sometimes cliques develop on some sites. Not on ViroPOP, people here are so friendly and open to what you have to say. You can imagine then how I felt when I w… Continue

The Price We Pay.

At times I find myself unarmed when it comes to discussions with people, we may not have all the answers but, taking a step in the right direction is always a good start. Today, I had two conversations that bothered me, and frankly left me feeling drained of my energy. So how do you deal with negative people who only see "the problems"? I'd love to know how you'd handle it. My first conversation was this morning, I was sitting waiting for the school bus, we live in a rural area where people hav… Continue

Green With Envy

If someone who was on a different path in life told you how you ought to live and the choices you should make, would that make you eager to change for them? I thought not. Now, ask yourself if you are guilty of doing such a thing, think about it. I know I try and make choices that are good for myself, others and the planet but, if someone told me to make those choices my first instinct is to be defiant due to them forcing their own beliefs upon me. The reason I bring this up is that I live in a… Continue

A Green Family Tree

So often I see new "green" technologies, and for the most part that makes me happy. It is good to know that change is in the air. And, I fully understand this is a new concept, (unless you count how mankind lived for thousands of years as one with the environment), it will take learning from mistakes, like bio-diesel, until we get it right. Being a parent I would like for my children to have a beautiful planet to grow upon now and in the future. That being said, it brings me to the point of thi… Continue
